What is GIF?
GIF is a palette-based raster format historically used for simple graphics and short animations. Formatly exports a static GIF from the first frame when converting.

Things to know
- Limited to 256 colors per frame
- Formatly writes static GIF output (first frame only)
- Larger or noisier than PNG or WebP for most still images
- GIF output uses the first frame only (static GIF).
